These networks are being provided by various infrastructure providers, including City Fibre, Openreach, Virgin Media, and Hyperoptic. As of September 2022, the latest Ofcom Annual Connected Nations Report shows that 70% of UK properties had access to gigabit capable broadband. Vodafone is one of the UK’s largest full fibre broadband providers and currently offers gigafast speeds to over 8.8 million homes.
- Vodafone Gigafast Broadband is the company’s fastest home broadband, providing average download speeds of up to 900Mbps via a full fibre connection. Vodafone has partnered with network infrastructure providers City Fibre and Openreach to offer its range of Gigafast packages, with prices starting at £28 per month.
- Vodafone Gigafast Broadband offers four download speed options, Full Fibre 100, Full Fibre 200, Full Fibre 500, and Full Fibre 900, with symmetrical upload speeds available to those living within a City Fibre network build area. Customers located in an Openreach network build area will experience slower upload speeds.
- Vodafone Gigafast Broadband is now available in over 35 towns and cities across the UK, with over 8.8 million homes covered. City Fibre is continuing to roll out full fibre broadband to hundreds of additional locations in 2023 and beyond, which will increase Vodafone Gigafast Broadband coverage to more areas.
